Upgrades - Bring life back into the old dog.

Looking to get more performance out of your trusty steed? There's a good chance that a factory service by us, using only genuine seals and fluids will bring it back to new, but there's also some ways to make it even better. Here's a short list of the most popular upgrades you can do to raise the bar in its performance.

Charger2 damper upgrade. The charger damper upgrade provides a huge jump in sensitivity and tuneability. The old 2-piece moco damper internals is fully removed, and replaced with a pre-bled, fully sealed damper unit featuring a bladder for the consistent performance, and a greater range of external adjustments for fine-tuning your setup.  Very popular for SID and REBA Specialized brain models.

Charger2 damper upgrade. The charger2 damper upgrade provides another leap forward in sensitivity and tunability from the original charger damper (RC or RCT3). Improved sealing, lower friction seal-head, and a pre-molded bladder providing even more consistent performance, and a greater range of external adjustments for fine-tuning your setup.  

Rockshox DebonAir fork upgrade: 

This would have to be one of the best value for money upgrades you can buy for your Rockshox forks. A 40% increase in negative air volume delivers a massive increase in initial stroke sensitivity, and an improvement (by default) to the forks mid-stroke support and slightly increased end-stroke progression. And at just $69.95, it's a winner.

The perfect way to get the ability to 'tune by volume' using the bottomless rings from Rockshox. The Debonair can upgrade is for Rockshox shocks that do not have the debonair can already installed. This is common on many Specialized bikes with Monarch 'Auto-sag', and many of the mid-specced bikes from various brands using Rockshox rear suspension. The Debonair can allow you to fine tune the shock's initial stroke sensitivity and more commonly - it's ending stroke progression. The can features sections where you add or remove the little rubber rings to get the desired feel. There's also a big improvement to the shock's initial stroke suppleness, as you're increasing the size of the negative air volume. Great for super super light riders, and just as great for extra heavy riders.

The FIT Damper came into popularity back in 2010 and has since dominated the high-end suspension choices from Fox. The bladder system combined with ultra-low friction sealing and long-term consistency and reliability, make the FIT damper a very good upgrade for any compatible Fox fork. Ranging in options from the very popular and user-friendly FIT4, to the FIT HSC/LSC (RC2), Fit Grip1 and the new Grip2 damper models as seen in the latest 2019 Fox 36's.

Fox Float 36 forks between 2015 and 2017 featured a 2-piece air shaft assembly that allowed the user to internally adjust the travel and the volume. This was a groundbreaking air spring for its time and is still on-par in performance compared to the current model air springs. Commonly used to upgrade a Fox 36 Talas (2015-2017 only), or for changing the travel on an existing Fox 36 Float 2015-2017. This is a 2-part upgrade for a Talas. The performance gains for a Talas 36 are substantial.

Another fantastic value for money upgrade. Much alike the Debonair spring upgrade from Rockshox, Fox has released the EVOL air shaft. Increasing the negative air volume furthermore, and gaining a whole bunch of extra initial stroke sensitivity as a result. Great upgrade to do at the time of the fork's next service, or when performing a travel change.

The Fox 34 came out in its early days with either a Float or Talas system. Either way, without boring you with details, neither of them were particularly outstanding in performance, hence why Fox came up with this retrofittable upgrade kit, allowing either an older Float or older Talas 34 get upgraded to current model Float 'NA' internals. It also allows for air spring volume tuning, (which was not able to be done in 2015 or earlier 34's), but it also allows for travel changes, using the single kit. It's essentially the same (but smaller) air spring as in the 2015-2017 Float 36, which is one of the most supple and most tuneable air springs on the market.
